Overview Two of Pennsylvania’s largest and most highly regarded statewide trade associations, the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association [PRA] and the Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association [PTLA] entered into a joint venture operating agreement that resulted in the formation of single new trade association that serves as the brand umbrella for the two groups, the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association. SCALI CIBC was tasked to devleop a strategic brand direction that would promote both entities equally and provide the basis for a branded trademark for all of its constituents.

The final winning signature is composed of the lettermark PR&LA—with the emphasized r&l, and logotype for the Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association name.

Skillful use of raised
and recessed letters provided PR&LA a distinct sign program.
